Abstract

Happiness, prosperity, blessing, and good luck are among the definitions that people have mentioned with the term "good luck" throughout their lives and they have been trying to get this concept. For this purpose, he created symbols and signs and used them in different places and times of his life in the name of talismans and symbols of auspiciousness and blessing. In this research, according to James Fraser's point of view, which considers spells and magic as a way to communicate directly with natural forces, and for this purpose, humans use the tools of symbols, it has sought answers to these questions: The concept of auspiciousness in animal symbols (lion, cow, and peacock bird) in the history of the Islamic era. How has it been formed in the history of the Islamic era? And what characteristics have turned these symbols into good luck charms and magic in the Islamic era? According to the research approach, the current research is qualitative and analytical-historical in nature. The data collection method of this research is documentary and library. The results show that animal talismans are a medium for manifesting, storing and protecting life energies, increasing sustenance and blessing, increasing physical strength and alertness, desire for immortality and stability in order to overcome the affairs of nature. are made
