In the contemporary world, attention to the identity and culture of nations plays an important role. Packaging of products is one of the most effective elements which can represent the identity and culture of a nation in the national and international levels. This study aims to promote and propagate Iranian national values in the direction impact of Iranian Identity and it seeks to answer these questions whether the use of these motifs in packaging can lead to the development influence of Iranian identity, and if so, by what methods can the aesthetic capabilities of Iranian carpet motifs be used in design?
This research has been done by descriptive-analytical method and formal aesthetic approach. After analyzing the images of Brick-shaped Yalameh and Minakhani Iranian carpets and matching them with the visual principles, 12 examples of packaging design by using the designs and patterns of these two carpets have been presented by the authors. Finally, these results are obtained that The use of traditional carpet motifs in the packaging of Iranian goods, because they are familiar to the Iranian audience and are reminiscent of Iranian motifs for foreign audiences as well Therefore, by repeating watching an image in the mind of the audience, it can be one of the ways to achieve the development of impact Iranian Identity Also, the use of a firmly and beautiful packaging can keep in people's homes for years. In this regard, Iranian carpet designs have the ability to be used in packaging design and in three general and practical ways. These three methods can be done including the use of designs and motifs directly, in combination with other elements or drawings by making changes in the original form and in this way, different designs are created.
