The types of plant arrays generally include Islamic species, Khatai, flowers and bushes, trees and flowers. The study was conducted with the aim of examining and identifying the types of flowers and bushes engraved in Safavid and Qajar carpets and examining its developments in the aforementioned period, as well as analyzing the entry of new plant species into the carpets of the Qajar period. Based on this, the main questions in this study are: 1-How have cultural and social factors influenced the occurrence of painted flowers and bushes in Safavid and Qajar carpets? The research method of this research is descriptive, descriptive and comparative in terms of type, fundamental, nature, and research problem. The method of data collection was a library and among specialized books, specialized articles and theses and electronic databases. The results show that the plant motifs used in Safavid carpets include a small variety of rotating species, which have been painted in several parts of the carpet and in different directions, but in the following centuries and the Qajar period, with changes in shape, size, color and structure have been repeated, and in addition, newer motifs have been added to the collection of carpet motifs of this period, including a variety of naturalist flowers, florals and new elements. These changes were most affected by the cultural and social conditions of the era, which led to the emergence and appearance of different types of flowers and bushes in Safavid and Qajar carpets.
